Job Description

IAG’s Multicultural ad effectiveness service, with a focus on Spanish-language advertising, requires a dedicated product lead, who is responsible for managing the service day-to-day, developing/enhancing it to meet the growing needs of the marketplace, closely supporting IAG research and client services groups, and integrating the service as needed with other Nielsen advertiser solutions assets.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Centralize and execute the IAG multicultural product strategy and own the product roadmap - responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensure optimal methodology including data collection, weighting and in-tab procedures, acculturation segmentation, respondent cultural considerations, etc
  • Support research/clients services on new business prospecting and analysis design/research deliverables that will be most relevant and actionable for customers
  • Deliver documentation with prioritized features and corresponding justification by gathering and rank-ordering product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with internal and external operations/engineering, research/client services, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Develop the core internal and external positioning and messaging for the product{s}, as well as sales tools and collateral
  • Collaborate with panel management team to ensure highest quality sample, and to optimize multicultural panel activity
  • Be an expert on all available forms of multicultural advertising effectiveness research

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years experience in multicultural advertising, multicultural marketing consulting and/or multicultural market research, with emphasis on Hispanic segment
  • Bilingual or at least strong command of Spanish language
  • Knowledge of unique needs of multicultural/Hispanic marketers and agencies, and the available services used by these parties for evaluating advertising effectiveness
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, and ability to work well with both internal and external clients
  • Strong data tabulation and research/analytics skills

The Director, Channel Strategy-Multicultural Marketing is responsible for the assessment, business plan development, and the execution of targeted initiatives within the multicultural channel for priority brands across North America Pharmaceuticals. Required:

The primary responsibility of the Manager, Multicultural Initiatives is to develop programs, activities, relationships and processes that will assist individual Councils and the Girl Scout movement in increasing the awareness and valuing multiculturalism by reaching and engaging previously underserved markets of girls and adults.  She/he serves as a consultant and technical resource to Councils in targeting, reaching and recruiting and retaining girl members and adult volunteers in designated ethnic, cultural and racial markets.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years prior experience working in organizations (e.g., Foundations, community based organizations, public agencies, etc.) that specifically target, attract and recruit members of underserved ethnic populations strongly preferred.   Emphasis in the Hispanic and/or Asian community is strongly preferred.
     

  • Depending on the ethnic market being served or targeted, fluency in a language other than English may be required.
     

  • Must have a recent and active professional network within professional organizations, corporations, public agencies, etc. that deal specifically with issues of multiculturalism and diversity. 

 

  • Must have excellent and demonstrated platform skills in order to make presentations to diverse organizations and groups as a way of "selling" the Girl Scout commitment to multiculturalism.  Depending on the audience being addressed, presentations may be in a language other than English.
     

  • Excellent writing skills in order to develop presentations, proposals, etc.

 

  • Bachelors Degree in training, marketing or similar field strongly preferred.  Extensive and recent experience working in grass roots organizations or corporate environments where targeting and reaching specific ethnic organizations was a primary responsibility may serve as a proxy to the formal education.
